The museum was created as part of the implementation of Project BG-RRP-11.020-0168-C01 – Digital Museum of Bulgarian Comedy, funded by the European Union through the NextGenerationEU instrument.
The Digital Museum of Comedy is designed to function as an accessible and comprehensible platform intended for a broad range of users. Its content is carefully selected and adapted to meet diverse needs and varying levels of prior knowledge. At the core of its concept lies the pursuit of a balance between informativeness and accessibility, avoiding both excessive simplification and unnecessary complexity in the presentation of information.
The selection of materials is carried out with regard to their significance and representativeness for the development of comedy, with a particular emphasis on the Bulgarian cultural context. Key figures, works, and phenomena that have contributed to the formation and development of the humorous tradition are included, with the prospect of further expansion of the content in the future. The information is organized in a way that facilitates understanding. The texts are presented in a moderate academic style, making them accessible even to users without specialized knowledge.
A significant aspect of the platform’s accessibility is the variety of formats used. In addition to textual materials, visual and audiovisual resources are included, which support better comprehension and help maintain users’ engagement. This diversity facilitates the reception of information by individuals with different preferences and learning styles.
The navigational structure of the platform is designed in accordance with the principles of clarity and usability. The division of content into clearly defined sections enables quick orientation and easy access to the desired information. Users are provided with the opportunity to approach the content in different ways—through thematic categories, historical periods, or multimedia files for viewing and listening—thus ensuring flexibility and a personalized user experience.
